Dehek - Comic Book Issue (2024)

Dehek is a comic book featuring a teenage Bhutanese dragon god who is coming to terms with her powers in a military campus with her adoptive father Shaitaan Singh. The story is set inside Holy Cow Entertainment’s superhero universe. It was written by me and illustrated by Tadam Gyadu, Abinash Ghosh, and Prasad Patnaik.

Epified - Animated YouTube channel (2015)

I served as Story Head at Culture Machine and wrote and developed the YouTube channel Epified as part of my work there. The channel featured whiteboard animation style explainer videos on Indian mythology, folklore, and history. Later, our videos were also featured on TV’s Epic channel.

Ravanayan - Comic Book Series (2013)

Ravanayan is a comic book series, now complete, that tells the story of Ravana, the prime antagonist of the Indian epic Ramayana. It was written by me and illustrated by Vivek Goel as well as by various artists at Holy Cow Entertainment.

Northern Song - Comic Book Series (2010)

I wrote the first season of a fantasy comic book series called Northern Song. It was illustrated by Vivek Goel and serialised in an anthology called Comic Jump, published by Level 10 Comics. The company and the anthology are both gone now and so is Northern Song.

Divyakavach - Comic Book Issue (2009)

This was my very first paid fiction writing gig. I wrote the script for the first issue of Divyakavach, a comic book series being published by Radiant Comics. This was a long time ago and the company has recently resumed operations again aftar being gone for years. The series is being continued by other writers.

Arrow’s Way - Flash Fiction (2008)

This was my very first work of fiction to be published in an online magazine. The first thing I ever submitted and got paid for. Until then, I used to write and publish by stories on my personal blog. I remember how unnerving it was to submit this.
